Films So Bad, That They’re Actually Amazing

Excalibur (1981)

There are many people who would argue that this is actually a good film. To those people, I would say: “Look at the linked video. How can you take this version of the Arthurian legend seriously when Arthur speaks like Worzel Gummidge?

Why You Should Watch It: This film has an absolutely amazing cast – Liam Neeson, Patrick Stewart, Helen Mirren, Ciaran Hinds, Gabriel Byrne, and Clive Swift of Richard Bucket from Keeping Up Appearances fame. They all seem to be trying to out-do each other in the over-acting stakes and you can literally see Helen Mirren eating the scenery in every scene she’s in. Excalibur is a thing of over-the-top, loud, campy glory.
