We are proud to partner with the EPA at this year’s National Student Media Awards, as they will be returning to sponsor the EPA Award for Journalism Relating to the Environment.
The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is an independent public organisation that ensures Ireland’s environment is protected. They assess changes in environmental trends and detect early signs of neglect or deterioration. The EPA also enforces drinking water regulations, monitors emissions in Ireland’s air, and registers and licenses any activities involving radiation.

Submission Guidelines:
Submissions for this category will be judged based on work that has brought students’ attention to environmental issues. Applications for this award can be a written piece, radio output, or a TV segment.
Submissions open 26th February 2024 and close 7th March 2024.
