It’s hard not to feel somewhat helpless watching the conflict in Ukraine escalate every day. Here are some ways that you can make a difference from Ireland.

Donate to charity

These charities are all currently working to help Ukrainians:

You can help with donations by clicking on any of the links above.

Fundraise

Similarly, you can set up fundraising events for these charities if you don’t have enough to donate off the bat. You can hold a bake sale in your university, organise a sponsored walk or run, hold a car boot sale, organise a karaoke or quiz evening, a raffle, or, for those brave enough, you could even shave your head…

Accommodation

Another way you can help is offering up accommodation for Ukrainian refugees.

If you would like to offer support in the form of accommodation, please visit the Irish Red Cross website and go to their Register of Pledges to fill in some details about your property or space: https://registerofpledges.redcross.ie

Donating Supplies

Charities have emphasised that the best way to support Ukraine currently is to give financial donations.

However, please contact 0879234421 or 0872510015 if you would like to know where to bring humanitarian aid.

If someone would like to donate medical supplies for Ukrainians, please write to the reserve email of the Embassy of Ukraine to Ireland (emb.ua.ireland@gmail.com) or call 016685189 to get the latest list of necessary items and the collection location.
