Women’s Aid

Women’s Aid is a leading national organisation that has been working in Ireland to stop domestic violence against women and children since 1974.

They work to make women and children safe from domestic violence, offer support, provide hope to women affected by abuse and work for justice and social change. Over the course of 40 years the organisation has built up a wealth of expertise on the issue, enabling them to best support women and children and share this knowledge with other agencies.

The Women’s Aid National Freephone Helpline 1800 341 900 operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and provides support and information to callers experiencing abuse from intimate partners.

National Women’s Council

The National Women’s Council is the leading national representative organisation for women and women’s groups in Ireland, founded in 1973. With have over 190 member groups and a large and growing community of individual supporters, the ambition of the National Women’s Council is an Ireland where every woman enjoys true equality and no woman is left behind.

Their purpose is to lead action for the achievement of women’s and girls’ equality through mobilising, influencing, and building solidarity.

BeLonG To

BeLonG To Youth Services is the national organisation supporting lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and intersex (LGBTI+) young people in Ireland. Since 2003, BeLong To have worked with LGBTI+ young people, between 14 and 23 years, to create a world where they are equal, safe, and valued in the diversity of their identities and experiences.

The charity also advocates and campaigns on behalf of young LGBTI+ people, and offer a specialised LGBTI+ youth service with a focus on mental and sexual health, alongside drug and alcohol support.

ShoutOut

ShoutOut is a charity committed to improving life for LGBTQ+ people by sharing personal stories and educating school students, parents & guardians, teachers, youth workers and workplaces on LGBTQ+ issues. 

Since 2012 ShoutOut been delivering workshops in secondary schools across the Island of Ireland which tackle LGBTQ+ bullying, and they have completed over 1,800 student workshops over the past 8 school years, speaking directly to over 54,000 students!
