We are proud to partner with Coimisiún na Meán at this year’s National Student Media Awards, as they will be returning to sponsor the Radio Production of the Year – News & Current Affairs .
In addition to undertaking the functions of the BAI as the regulator for broadcasting in Ireland, Coimisiún na Meán is to establish a regulatory framework for online safety, update the regulation of television broadcasting and audiovisual on-demand services, and transpose the revised Audiovisual Media Services Directive into Irish law.
Submission Guidelines:
Awarded to the best radio production covering news and current affairs. This can include news broadcasts, panel discussions, interviews and other news and current affairs related shows. Must be produced expressly for broadcast on student radio.
Submit one episode, or montage of episodes (maximum 1 hour), broadcast since February 2023.
Submissions open 26th February 2024 and close 7th March 2024.
