It’s been over a week since Netflix dropped the series finale of its beloved show Stranger Things. Fans are already yearning for more, with some even subscribing to the idea that an extra episode is going to be released.
To help you get through the drought, here are five song suggestions to bring back the Stranger Things vibes.
Every Breath You Take
Not only is this 80’s band, the Police’s most popular song, but it was also played during one of the show’s most iconic scenes. In the season 2 finale, the song plays while the kids attend the Snow Ball, a rare moment of normalcy in their life.
Running Up That Hill
This song put Kate Bush right back at the top of the charts in 2022, after it was used to save Max Mayfield in season 4. Season 4 really brought the fandom together after a long stretch inbetween seasons due to the Covid 19 pandemic, and this song will take you right back.
Material Girl
Season 3 tends to be a fan favourite (although I can’t say it is mine). This song is featured in the mall shopping scene, another rare moment where the kids actually get to be their age. While Max and El go shopping together, the boys help Mike with his relationship issues.
Fire In My Heart
Escape from New York appear to have become a comfort artist for the Byler fans. If you weren’t content with the ending between Mike and Will or need some hope for their future off screen, this song has formed a trend on TikTok of what could it could look like.
Purple Rain
No matter what side you were on of the ship wars, the season 5 finale will still have ripped your heart out with this song’s scene. Eleven was a fan favourite for many fans, and her sacrifice destroyed the wellbeing of many on New Year’s Day. If you want to relive the pain of the finale, this song will do that perfectly.
