Aine Kenny wins Editor of the Year at the 2019 Smedias

It was a fantastic night for NUIG student Aine Kenny at the 2019 Smedia awards. Aine won the award for Editor of the Year, sponsored by the Independent.For the Editor of the Year the judges were looking forward commitment, enthusiasm and editorial insight throughout the academic year.

The Irish Independent is Irelands best selling daily newspaper. They have supported the Smedia awards since we started in 2000 by providing us with judges, presenters and by sponsoring categories . We would like to thank the Irish Independent for their support over the years and for continuing that good relationship this year
