Hinge has recently added a new set of prompts that you can use on your dating profile. The section is called Your World. The idea seems to be a way that you can share more about yourself and be a little bit vulnerable (everyone’s favourite activity).

Let’s discuss how good these prompts actually are.

  1. In my friend group, I’m the one who

Decent. It’s easy to lie about. It also helps to make you appear more social and connected than you actually are.

  1. I could stay up all night talking about

*Insert what you claim to be a hidden gem of an artist but is actually trending on Tiktok.* Sooo cool and mysterious!

  1. Where I go when I want to feel a little more like myself

Perhaps this will replace the popular “typical sunday” and men will choose this to express their love for a sea swim. Chanel your inner Sportacus!

  1. Something my pet thinks about me

Again it’s very easy to lie about so probably will suit most.

  1. The kindest thing someone has ever done for me

Well.. that’s one way to secretly reminisce about your ex.

  1. It’s not a holiday unless

Great opportunity to trauma dump! It’s winning so far.

  1. Before we meet, you should listen to

Your therapist.

  1. I’m in my element when

Perfect way to brag about the hobby you have not participated in since you were 14.

  1. You’d never know it, but I

A chance to trauma dump again? Appear mysterious by listening to Radiohead? Tell us how you’re not like other girls.

  1. An award my family would give me

It’s giving momma’s boy. Avoid at all costs.

If you have had any success stories (or failures) from these please DM us (we will name drop!!). Will these vulnerable prompts end the male loneliness epidemic or are they a way for people to be even more dishonest on dating apps?
