Netflix launched a new documentary over the weekend focusing on the former pop star, now fashion designer, Victoria Beckham.
Victoria Beckham rose to fame in the 1990’s for being part of the pop group the Spice Girls. It was from her time in this band she became known as Posh Spice. The group is the best-selling female group of all time, selling over 80 million records worldwide. The band split up in 2000 but came back together in 2007 for a reunion tour.
Although, music did not end up being Beckham’s main passion. After the Spice Girls ended, Beckham decided to focuss on a career shift into fashion. She began working with fashion designer Roland Mouret who became a mentor to her. Beckham’s label was launched in September 2008, and by 2011, it had grown into a fixture of New York Fashion Week.
Beckham has continued her fashion line since. It is now rumoured her daughter, Harper Bechkam, will be following in her mum’s footsteps.
