On Thursday the 14th of November, UCD’s oldest and most prestigous society (whatever that means), the Literary and Historical Society, held a debate on campus titled ‘This House Believes Fathers should have a Say’. The debate led to massive controversy with many students protesting on the night.

It’s great to see how many self growth books the LnH have been reading over the years. It’s evident they’ve made great progress. For example, in 2012 the society used posters that featured the ‘Please Don’t Litter’ sign, with the litter being replaced by a stick-figure baby being thrown into the bin.’ See? They’re much more tame now.

Following this controversy, it is rumoured that the gang have made an agreement that they’ll actually start to give women a chance this year. Now, you may be wondering where has this new desire to heal come from? Well, sources say that its audiotor was inpsired by his father. The auditor was told by Daddy that should he ever wish to make partner at Arthur Cox, he would need a respectable wife.

One passerby heard the secretary say, “Right boys, I guess we’ll just have to accept that the state actually decided women already have rights. Daddy keps saying A&L won’t take me if I don’t act like I know the law. Even with the nepotism.”

It’s clear the gang are really taking their resolutions seriously!
