We’re so excited to announce that we will be partnering with Raidió na Gaeltachta at this year’s SMEDIA awards! They’ll be sponsoring the prestigious Iriseoireacht trí Ghaeilge – Raidió Award.
Ireland’s traditionalist radio service, RnaG operates completely with the traditional Irish language. RnaG’s mandate is to keep the original Irish native language, and Ireland’s traditions alive, and so to be the loyal keeper of the Irish nation’s identity and memories.
Raidió na Gaeltachta has been broadcasting for 20 years now and can be heard worldwide, 24 hours a day. The service brings a mild mixture of music and talk beside the mandatory news and weather bulletins. Their music playlists are built from traditional Irish music, folk and country.
We are thrilled to have Raidió na Gaeltachta involved in our awards, and thank them again for championing student media producers and allowing them the opportunity to have their work recognised by industry professionals.
