Attention all students! Applications for the ‘News Photographer of the Year’ award at this National Student Media Awards are now open.
Awarded to the best student photographer that captured news events and current affairs on camera. Submissions for this award should have been published in the student press OR be the work of a full-time student. Be sure not to get confused with the photographer of the year award!
Last year’s News photographer of the year went to Kate Swift with her project, ‘Lost Soles’. A story of “loss, displacement and the livelihood of the local fishing community in Bulloch Harbour”.
