It is really important to be present when travelling. No one wants to have their head in a screen when seeing new places for the first time. That said, it is also important to capture your travels so that you can look back on your memories.
Here are 3 ways to document what you see.
Instagram Highlights
Even if you’re taking a social media detox you likely will still be taking plenty of photos. Instagram highlights are a great way to organise your photos. You can create them anytime meaning you don’t have to worry about organisation while travelling. You can also select the cover image for each so the appearance suits your theme. The best part? You can remove photos after making a highlight. No longer talk to your travel companion? No problem.
Scrapbooks
Another great way to document your travels is the old fashioned way of scapbooking. Print off your photos, collect any train tickets, and write down your favourite memories or anything you discovered while away. The book can be great to look back on and can hold a lot more information than Instagram highlights. If you went travelling with others you could even make them as a group.
Videos
You don’t have to be an influencer to record footage of the places you visit. You can record visual footage of the scenes, your friends being chaotic, or a bit of both. You can use a free video editor like CapCut or iMovie to put your footage together. This format is easy to share with friends and you can watch it anytime you miss your travels.
