The Digital Age is as prominent as ever with new iPhone releases, new app launches, and inventions.
However, many music lovers are reverting back to their roots to dig up their first mp3 player, just to stray away from the digital media landscape. Not only is this happening with devices but also accessories, with people trading in their Bluetooth headphones for simple wired earphones.
This nostalgia themed trend has gotten people to feel as though they’re heading back in time or even feel as though they have separated themselves from the online world. Downloading music onto a device with no other social media can be freeing and creates a sense of independence from the new physical media being advertised to us.
It is reminding music lovers that all they need if their favourite tunes downloaded and they have the barebones of their phone functions. This trend has gone widespread, which is benefitting not only those who are addicted to their screens but also the older devices that were discarded when their new edition arrived.
This breakthrough of physical media will catch on to younger generations who yearn to have been from an older generation, and the cycle will continue.
