It has been reported that Paul Mescal was recently attacked by a fan while in Dublin. It is said that Mescal was on his way to the barbers for a mullet touch up when a leopard print bra was thrown at his face.
It has since been confirmed that the assault was carried out by a young female fan. Mescal spoke to Oxygen about the recent event.
“Yeah, you know I was just getting a haircut and the next thing I knew a bra was in my eyes. At first, I just thought I was having flashbacks to the night before. Sure, you know yourself. I was like ah I’m just thinking of Daisy-fuck no Gracie. Gracie! I was thinking of Gracie. Cut that bit out!”
It has been suggested that the incident could be related to similar attacks that have been recently impacting the New York singer Sombr. Sombr has now had a bra thrown at him several times during his concerts.
Is throwing bras the new form of abuse for male celebrities? Or are these attacks targeted at these specific men? Maybe Sombr should have picked up one of those 15 phone calls. As for Paul, his interview clearly demonstrates the endless number of motives women could have.
