Emily Henry, best-selling romance author, has a very exciting project coming up with the release of her first movie adaptation of her novels quickly approaching. People We Meet on Vacation will be released on Netflix on January 9, 2026.
Irish fans may be more familiar with the title of the novel You and Me on Vacation, which is the UK and Aus version of the book.
The book follows the beloved trope of friends to lovers, featuring Poppy and Alex who take one vacation together every year. This summer, Poppy asks Alex to join her on one last trip to resolve their underlying tension.
The Netflix movie will be starring American actress Emily Bader, and British actor Tom Blyth. Other cast members appearing will be Sarah Catherine Hook, Lucien Laviscount, Miles Heizer plus many more.
The film is the first of Emily Henry’s novels to be adapted, but fans have been promised more are to come.
