The Government have just launched “Creating Our Future”, a portal where people can give their opinion on what should be done to make Ireland better for all. This research is being conducted for areas of science, the environment, health and education to poverty, the arts, diversity and inclusion.

The project is intended to be “a national conversation to gather ideas on what research and innovation could be undertaken to create a better future for everyone”, according to the Department of Further and Higher Education.

“Creating Our Future is an opportunity for everyone in Ireland to give ideas on how to make our country better for all… All ideas are welcome that can inspire researchers to help make a better future for Ireland.”

Taoiseach Micheál Martin and Minister for Further and Higher Education, Research, Innovation and Science Simon Harris unveiled this project today.

“This is an important opportunity to contribute to shaping future research… we want to engage everyone in conversations in communities across the country, to inspire curiosity and generate ideas for research that will shape our future,” said Martin.

The portal, which is being managed by Science Foundation of Ireland, is open now until November this year.
