The semester is well underway which means midterms are quickly approaching. Here are 3 tips to help you get through them.

Start early

Nothing will make your midterms more stressful than doing them last minute. Carve out some time before the deadline and take yourself to your favourite study space. This can be the library, a coffee spot, your desk etc. As long as it’s somehwere you can focus, it will work just fine.

Prioritise the assignments that are worth the most

Not all midterms will carry equal weight. Some can be 50% while others can be 10%. If you’re stressed or feel you’re stuck for time, make sure you focus more on the ones that carry more weight. These are the assignments that will really affect your GPA.

Make time for yourself

You’re probably asking how on earth can you do that while you have a million tabs open. I’m not saying to take a full day off, or to listen to wellness podcasts you have no interest in. Just make sure you take even 10 minutes each day to do something you enjoy. It can be as small as listening to music you like or having a cup of tea.

Midterms can be stressful but they’re not everything. If you think these are bad… just wait till you have finals!
