Céard is BLOC ann? 

Is mol físeán meán sóisialta Gaeilge é BLOC atá dírithe ar lucht féachana aois 16-25+. Tá BLOC dírithe ar chruthaitheoirí nua ábhair óga a chumasú le hábhar Gaeilge nuálach, spraoíúil Gaeilge a bhfuil ábhar machnaimh ann a chruthú dá n-aoisghrúpa féin. Tá breis agus 50 cruthaitheoir nua ábhair Gaeilge óga (BLOCadóirí) scabhtáilte, traenáilte agus coimisiúnaithe ag BLOC go dtí seo agus feiceann na mílte a gcuid ábhair gach seachtain ar chainéil Instagram, IGTVTwitter, YouTube & Tik Tok agus Facebook BLOC

BLOC TG4 is looking for the most creative, innovative, entertaining and newest short video from students for the new Smedias bilingual Short Video category. Videos must be between 1.00 & 5.00 minutes long to be submitted for the competition. The videos submitted on BLOC must be primarily in Irish in order to be suitable for our main platforms – IGTV, Youtube and Tik Tok. Be creative, courageous and enjoy.

The PRIZE

The best video will not only be awarded a cash prize of € 500.00 euro but will also have the opportunity to become a content creator for BLOC… or BLOCadóir as it’s called!

What is a BLOC?

BLOC is an Irish language social media video hub aimed at audiences aged 16-25+. BLOC is aimed at empowering young content creators to create innovative, fun and thought – provoking Irish language content for their age group. To date, BLOC has sculpted, trained and commissioned over 50 new young Irish language content creators (BLOCadóirí) and thousands of view their content each week on BLOC ‘s Instagram, IGTV, Twitter, YouTube & TikTok and Facebook channels.

Covid-19: Public health advice suggests that it is best to limit contacts due to Covid-19. As a result of the pandemic, we encourage students to send links to their submissions via our online application form.
