PERFECTION @ Science Gallery, Trinity College Dublin

The Science Gallery in Trinity is offering up something to inspire and intrigue for culture night this year. The theme of their current exhibit questions the pursuit of perfection and its consequences when it coincides with technological advancement.

Together with this, there will also be a performance art piece driven by AI performed especially for the night. Beyond the main event, a panel discussion entitled “IN PURSUIT OF THE PERFECT PRESENCE” will explore social media and its effects on our idea of perfection. Speakers include Dr. Ciara Mahon, a health specialist interested in how social media affects young people’s attitudes towards body image; and Alex Calder, a content creator for the Instagram @betweentwoears.

The Culture Night event runs from 4pm until 10pm in the gallery.

The panel kicks of at 6:00pm and you can register for it here.
