Love it or hate it, college season is fast approaching. So we’ve broken down the latest autumn semester fashion trends to keep you looking like the main character in all of your classes.
From 9am classes to late night study sessions here’s how you can survive uni with the latest style.
Mary Janes
Mary Jane shoes have been a staple of 2025 fashion and this autumn will be no exception. These ballet flats will elevate any outfit from jeans and a hoodie to sweaters and skirts. The shoes sport an academic and feminine look to any outfit.
Red
Autumn is all about neutrals but this year we’re also bringing red into the mix. Red will bring a statement to any outfit- as a pop of colour or the central piece your item of red is sure to turn heads.
Oversized hoodie
A true timeless classic, the oversized hoodie will always be in style. The perfect option for late nights in James Joyce or for cold November mornings, the oversized hoodie while also being stylish will have you cozy and warm all day long.
Brown
Is it even autumn if I don’t mention brown. The perfect autumnal palette cannot be completed without this elegant neutral. Brown pairs perfectly with shades of beige and black. Style a pair of wide leg brown trousers with a fitted polo or turtle neck.
Chelsea Boots
Chelsea boots are to autumn as pages are to books. A true test of time, Chelsea ankle boots, are one of my favourite things about the cooler weather. They can be styled in such a versatile way with leggings and the oversized hoodie from earlier to jeans or skirts and tights. Chelsea boots are the one thing you are sure to wear all season.
Oversized button down
For the warmer autumn days the button down is the perfect choice. It combines our favourite elements of cute but classy. The oversized fit gives it a casual vibe (think: I just threw this outfit on and didn’t overanalyze for twenty minutes) with the structured elements of the shirts elevating the style so you look stylish all while seeming as if it took no effort.
We can’t promise that these outfits will help you pass your classes but at least you will look cute and isn’t that really the most important thing?
