We are delighted to, once again, be featuring the European Commission Award in the 2023 National Student Media Awards. The European Commission is the executive branch of the European Union and develops the overall strategy and political direction of the EU. It does this by proposing legislation, implementing decisions, and upholding EU law already in effect.
They are sponsoring the ‘European Commission Award for Journalism Relating to European Issues’ category again this year. This will be awarded to an applicant who has written and published the best article relating to the EU.
The European Commission’s primary aim is to do all of this for the good of its EU citizens. The EC values journalists that report on related matters and aims to celebrate them through this award.
