APPLICATIONS FOR THIS CATEGORY ARE OPEN FROM FEBRUARY 1st 2021

The Science Foundation of Ireland Award for Journalism relating to Science and Technology will be awarded to any student who was written and published an article, in any form of student media, relating to science or technology.

We’re looking for work that exhibits a clear understanding of the topic that is being written about and, more importantly, that helps clearly communicate this topic to the average reader.

If you’ve written on anything science-related, from the minutiae of a minor scientific discovery made at your college to a think-piece pondering the changing role of science in society through the centuries, we want to hear from you! Your article must have been published since February 2020.

Covid-19: Please do not submit a physical a copy of your submission. Public health advice suggests that it is best to limit contacts due to Covid-19. This includes physical submissions for these awards. As a result of the pandemic the awards will be held over Zoom rather than our usual venue, The Aviva.
