The National Student Media Awards 2021 took place online on June 2nd, and what a night it was! Tom Farrelly from BCFE picked picked up the Short Film of the Year award for his film, Death of an Otter.
The Short Film of the Year award is sponsored by Screen Ireland. Screen Ireland is a frontrunner in the development of Irish film. They help Irish filmmakers in the early stages of their career by helping them get their ideas from the page to the big screen.
Whether it be through funding, producing, or promotion, Screen Ireland is responsible for supporting critically acclaimed movies like Room, Sing Street, The Lobster, Calm With Horses and the Academy Award nominated animation, Wolfwalkers.
