Siobhan Vivian was born on the 12th of January 1979 in New York. She is a bestselling fiction and young adult novelist, screenwriter, and editor. She is a mother to two girls, Vivian and Marie, and a wife to Nick Caruso.
Siobhan started her career as an Alloy Entertainment editor and later wrote Playhouse Disney’s Little Einsteins. In 2008, she published A Little Friendly Advice and co-wrote a picture book with J. Otto Seibold called Vunce Upon a Time. She also wrote Some Difference and Not that Kind of Girl, which won numerous awards, including “Kirkus Reviews Best Book of the Year” and “2012 ALA Best Fiction for Young Adults”.
In 2012, Siobhan published The List, a novel based on her high school experiences in New Jersey, which was later adapted by MTV. This novel was awarded the Junior Library Guild Selection, ALA 2013 Best Fiction for Young Adults and placed second on the New York Times Young Adult E-book in June 2016. Between 2012 and 2014, Siobhan co-wrote a trilogy with Jenny Han called the Burn for Burn series, which included Burn for Burn, Fire with Fire and Ashes to Ashes. Between 2016 and 2020, Siobhan published 3 separate novels: The Last Boy and Girl in the World, Stay Sweet and We are the Wildcats.
Siobhan has also helped produce XO, Kitty in the last few years. This TV series is based on a trilogy’s main characters’ little sister written by Jenny Han.
