Oxygen.ie is absolutely THRILLED to announce that we have welcomed award-winning animation company, Brown Bag Films, on board as a sponsor for this year’s Smedias.
The Dublin-based animation company was founded by Cathal Gaffney and Darragh O’Connell in 1994, and quickly became a global success. Its popular short animated series, ‘Give Up Yer Aul Sins’, was nominated for an Academy Award in 2001. Its production of ‘Peter Rabbit’ won a staggering four Emmys in 2014, and it is also behind popular children shows ‘Doc McStuffins’ and ‘Henry Hugglemonster’.
Brown Bag Films have kindly agreed to sponsor the Best Short Animation of the Year category for this year’s KBC National Student Media Awards, and we are looking forward to working with them in finding the best of Irish student media talent.
