With Christmas Day less than a week away, you might be looking for ways to entertain the family before the long awaited Christmas dinner. This list compiles some of the best games to play to pass the time over the Christmas season.

Christmas-themed Trivia

For any competitive families out there, you might enjoy a couple of rounds of Christmas trivia. The best part about this game is that the questions are easily customisable and varied for all aged players and all difficulty levels.

Christmas “Heads-Up”

If you’re not familiar with the rules of this game — you simply write different Christmas themed characters or items, like, Santa, Rudolph, an elf, a gift, a snowman, and so on — and each player must stick a sticky note to their forehead and guess what they are with yes or no questions.

Gingerbread House Competition

Yet another game to satiate the appetites of your family’s competitive streak, your family can partake in a gingerbread house making competition and compile a vote for the best decorated house!

Secret Santa

Secret Santa consists of each player choosing a gift for a designated person, which is exchanged, and each player is assigned to guess who their secret Santa is.

Cocktail Competition

This one is obviously tailored to adults, but can be altered to families of all ages if you swap out cocktails for mocktails. This contest game consists of each player crafting a Christmas themed drink, like eggnog or a baileys hot chocolate, and the designated judge will choose the best drinks.

These are just a few of the many Christmas themed games to pass the time this holiday season. Christmas Day often passes us by so quickly so these games ensure you’re making the most of your time spent with family this Christmas.
