We are proud to once again be featuring the European Commission Award for Journalism Relating to European Issues in the 2022 National Student Media Awards!
This award is given to the applicant who has written and published the best article relating to the EU. The winning submission will also receive a 1000 euro prize!
The European Commission promotes the general interest of the EU by proposing and enforcing legislation as well as by implementing policies and the EU budget. The European Commission proposes new laws, manages EU policies and allocates EU funding, enforces EU law and represents the EU internationally.
If you want to give them your views on EU policies or suggest changes or new policies, you can get involved by:
- send a response to a Commission public consultation on an issue that concerns you
- launch a European Citizens’ Initiative
- make a formal complaint if you think EU law is not being applied properly in your case
