The SMEDIAS is proud to partner with TG4’s BLOC to provide an Irish award that recognises the talent in student Irish media.
BLOC is an Irish language social media video hub aimed at audiences aged 16-25+. BLOC hosts, showcases and commissions innovative and creative Irish language content for young people by young people, covering everything from gaming, to short films, spoken word, film reviews, travel vlogs and much more.
It is a pleasure to have this award sponsored by such an inspiring organisation that produces high-quality Irish language content like Rock Ros Muc. This program won Best Feature Documentary in the Boston Irish Film Festival and was also longlisted for the 2018 Oscars.
The winner of this category will win three prizes. They’ll received the coveted student media award, a €500 prize and the opportunity to become a content creator for BLOC… or BLOCadóir!
We wish the best of luck to all of our entrants at The National Student Media Awards 2021.
