The Comedy Club @ The City Limits, Coburg Street

If you’re looking for something to keep you in stitches until the wee hours, this event is just the ticket. After a packed out show for last year’s Culture Night, the folks at City Limits are advising to get down early. You’ll be entertained by some of the city’s best stand-ups as well as some surprise out-of-town guests on the night.

The Good Room @ The Kino

Music promoter collective the Good Room are bringing three stellar acts to The Kino as part of Culture night. The group was involved in bringing Sounds from a Safe Harbour acts sir Was and Feist to the stage. Similarly, the collective have brought amazing live act Ham Sandwich to Cork ears.

The lineup for the night includes:

6pm: Jabin Ward Trio – This jazz improvisation trio comprised of Jabin Ward on tenor saxophone, Niall McGuinness on double bass and Dan Walsh drums is not to be missed. Having honed their craft as residents of Cork’s Blue Note at the Roundy, this performance will be the cream of the crop.

8pm: Eve Clague – A native of Clonakilty, Clague’s soulful songwriting brings to mind the intimate lyrics of the likes of Amy Winehouse. Her debut single “Young Naive Me” is available to listen to on all streaming platforms. Read an interview with the artist here.

10pm: Secret Show – Announced at 10am on the day

Beer Tasting @ The Fransiscan Well

The Cork brewery stalwarts will be opening up the brewery for the day for a select few free guided tours and free beer tastings. This is a great opportunity to introduce somebody new to the city to the local craft beer scene. Alternatively, it’s a nice way to sneak a freebie of your favourite brew!

There are three tours on the hour from 5pm so book now to avoid disappointment!

Pitch’d Circus Arts @ Coal Quay

Do you fancy some fire-breathing? You’re in luck! There will be a street performance at Coal Quay from the circus arts collective Pitch’d as part of Culture night. The group will be pulling out all the stops to build up to the “Inferno Fire Show” at 10pm so don’t miss out.

The event runs from 7pm until 10:30pm.
