Tevez - Neh neh na neh neh! |
The real reason behind the Carlos Tevez 'refusing to play' row has emerged from Manchester City’s Carrington training ground, and there are no prizes for guessing that the trouble started with striker Mario Balotelli. The tempermental Italian international reportedly struck out at teammate and former club captain Tevez in a fiery altercation. While there have been conflicting stories as to the basis of their sudden disagreement, most sources have indicated that the wantaway Argentine player had been directing verbal abuse at Balotelli, up until now adirect rival for a spot in the first team. Balotelli is said to have taken it well throughout a two hour training session until it all became too much as they walked back to the dressing rooms. “Carlos had been nipping at his ankles all day during the ball work,” revealed a Carrington insider. “Mario was just shrugging it off, I mean, Carlos would have to jump up to even kick his ankles. When they were on the way back in though, Carlos took it too far. ‘Mario Balo-smelly,’ that’s what he called him. “Can you believe that? Like, you know, smelly. He implied that he was smelly. Really rough stuff. All the lads turned around immediately. They knew it would kick off. Sure enough, Mario went for him and got him a good one, right in the jaw. Wayne Bridge had to grab the big fella and drag him away. That’s the closest he’s gotten to the first team in a while mind you.” It didn’t quite end there though as Balotelli threw out some verbals of his own while being held off. “Yeah, he called Carlos a dirty little Argentine prick, a money grabbing bastard, a real ugly bollox. He laughed at that stupid fucking scar on his neck and that sob story about a house fire or whatever it was. "He said that he wouldn’t piss on Carlos if he was on fire and that he’d kill his family if he ever so much as looked at him again. Something like that, I obviously can’t remember exactly how it went, but it was along those lines.” Manager Roberto Mancini was visibly shocked after the incident, unhappy that Tevez would sink so low, which culminated in the highly public disagreement on the touchline against Bayern Munich. This could spell the end of the former Manchester United star’s City career, as it is widely known that Mancini deplores odour-based “banter.” He previously cited it as the primary reason for his departure from Inter after owner Massimo Moratti called him ‘Roberto Man-stinky.’ Cathal Wogan
