Edward Hunter from New York has created a viral video that has gotten everyone talking. Hunter (34) began his project a little over five years ago and has continued it until last week. The New York native started each day of his life by taking a photograph of his penis and has now put all the photographs together in a five year time lapse.

When asked why he undertook such a project, Hunter replied, “I just wanted to express what it means to be a white male in the 21st century. We are all so concerned with what our bodies say about who we are, that we forget that there is something so simplistic and beautiful about seeing a well groomed penis age gracefully over a five year period.”

“I knew when the project was in its initial stages that there was something special about it. I had no idea that it would go viral though. If you asked me six years ago if I thought I had a viral penis, I would have winced at the idea.  However, I now embrace my place on the internet. I think what my penis represents is a place and time.”

“I don’t want to get too much into the symbolism of it all, but everyone will know where they were when the first saw the video. I have unwillingly created a collective experience, which is rare in this age of instantaneous communication.”

World leaders have reacted to the video with some making brief comments on what this video means. United States President Barack Obama said in a press conference, “It’s enlightening, I think it goes to show what Americans can give the world and how we can come together as one to admire the human body. Pope Francis said, “Edward Hunter is continuing the work that Jesus began over 2,000 years ago. The message that Hunter has given us is that hope can free us but too much of it can keep us caged in.
