Galway Student Nights

New to college life, or a veteran looking for inspiration for your next night out? Either way students in Galway will find there is no shortage of clubs and pubs to keep you partying all semester long. Here are the top five events to hit up every week in the newest European city of culture:

Black Monday at Four Four: Having a case of the Monday’s, then head over to four four for the ultimate cure to the blues with Black Monday, a night for cheeky shifts, great tunes and cheap drinks, check out the three for ten menu, whether its shots of Sambuca or Jaeger you’re bound to have the best night out.

Tuesday:
Silent Disco at the Roisin Dubh: You can’t say you go to college in Galway if you haven’t been to the Roisin; the home of Galway’s silent disco scene, a night at the Roisin is one not to be missed. Located in the Claddagh district this gem is also home to some of the biggest gigs around, with acts like The Academic gracing its stage.

Wednesday:
Bogoff at Carbon: The biggest night out of the week, bogoff (Buy One Get One For Free) in Carbon is the ultimate throwback night, with a different theme each week. With cheesy dance floor fillers, great drinks offers and of course the usual give-aways, bar tab, champagne and VIP treatment, you can’t go wrong.

Truth at Four Four: The formerly designated night for the infamous ‘Brooklyn Zoo’, Four Four have just launched their latest brand, ‘Truth Wednesday’. A night for bold gestures, drinks promos (Truth Serum), give-aways, and being completely honest and truthful…and winning guest-list every now and then. Resident DJ, Alli B, will of course be on the decks spinning tunes. So what are you waiting for, the truth always comes out.

Thursday:
Hoolie at Electric: Recently voted the best Music Venue/ Nightclub of the year, Electric theatre and Garden is the place to be Thursday night with new DJs every week and headlining acts such as Daithi, you’re bound to find some class tunes for the play-list to your next night out. As their ethos says, it’s all about the ‘Thinkers and drinkers, the dancers and chancers- all under one roof raving’.
