We were delighted to have had Foras na Gaeilge as sponsors of not one, but two categories at this years Smedias, Iriseoireacht Trí Ghaeilge Raidió and Iriseoireacht Trí Ghaeilge Scríofa.

Foras na Gaeilge has been promoting the Irish language across the Republic and the Northern Ireland since it began in 1999.

The Irish language is hugely important in terms of the culture and history of Ireland. Foras na Gaeilge are committed to help promote the Irish language, especially through education and the media.

Foras na Gaeilge advises administrations, North and South, as well as public bodies and other groups in the private and voluntary sectors in all matters relating to the Irish language

Zoe Kinsella from DIT took home the Iriseoireacht trí Ghaeilge (Scríofa) award at this years Smedias, while Meadhbh Ní Eadhra from NUIG won the Raidió trí Ghaeilge award with her entry Gan Teorainn.

The Smedias was a fantastic and successful night, and we are delighted to have had Foras na Gaeilge as sponsors for two categories.
