Films So Bad, That They’re Actually Amazing

Rocky Horror Picture Show (1975)

A young, newly engaged couple seek refuge in a local mansion after their car breaks down.

Why You Should Watch It: It’s astounding. Time is fleeting. Madness… takes… control. Don’t act like you don’t love The Time Warp, everyone loves The Time Warp! Also writer/Riff Raff Richard O’Brien used to present the Crystal Maze in a leopardskin fur coat and TV has never been the same. Rocky Horror is a phenomenon, the best known “midnight movie” of all time, with a huge cult following and an actual ritual for watching it live. It’s still shown to audiences all over the world to this day (in fact the Sugar Club in Dublin is having one this Hallowe’en). Rocky Horror defines the “so bad, it’s good” trope with its awful dialogue and toe-tappingly good songs. And I don’t care what anyone says, Tim Curry performing Sweet Transvestite as Dr Frank N Furter is one of the hottest things I’ve ever seen in my life.

I see you shiver – with antic…..pation.
